On arrival the outside looks a bit tired, but once through the doors it is warm and inviting. We were informed before arrival the lift was not working, we requested a room on the first floor which was granted. We were upgraded free of charge which was amazing, the room was really clean, bed was huge, view was amazing and the bathroom very clean and again huge. The complimentary toiletries were great quality and the towels were really soft. We went for my daughters graduation and the Hotel was a 7 minute walk to her flat so will definately be staying again. They even accomodated 4 extra people for breakfast from our party which was exceptional.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and this visit was ,like the others, most enjoyable, The "basic" room had all our requirements and the cleanliness standard was good. The location of the hotel is excellent and within walking distance of the centre of Brighton. It is also a more relaxing location. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff very friendly and efficient. Despite parking and movement restrictions imposed by the "Triathlon" which was in progress the hotel arranged for us to remain parked in the hotel car park until all the roads were reopened. This helped us enormously, We will be back!!!

Stayed three night for a friend's birthday party so really only in the room for sleeping & showering; room was enormous! Shower over the bath lovely & powerful & hot as you like; bit of a big step into it so ideally a grab rail would have been ideal to help get in & out of the bath; towels very good along with all the linen; lots of toiletries. Bed a little soft for our liking but we slept anyway because of such a busy weekend! LOL Room cleaned everyday without having to ask. Free parking (first come first served) is a massive bonus; 24hr reception

Susan

Helpful receptionist. We booked a room at a good price but were then told the lift was broken. We are in our mid 70s and could not carry bags to the fourth floor so I phoned - and our booking on the second floor was changed to the first. Fantastic. Also, helpful when we asked about local restaurants. Good breakfast, including GF toast for my husband. Having GF beer available (even though the bar staff had never heard of it, she took the time to look it up).

Catherine

Very clean and simple good quality furnishings and facilities. We upgraded to a sea view and balcony for only £10 per night which I was very glad of because it inspired me to nip down to the shore and watch the waves even though it was a cold windy February evening. I seemed very generous and unusual that they invite you to borrow cutlery to eat takeaway for whereas most hotels forbid it completely. I enjoyed having a bath.
